A Few Words of Warning

This blog contains some very difficult subjects.

Please be aware that some posts may contain subject matter that qualifies as adult content or fits under the definition of what many people would define as "too much information." If you feel you will be bothered by this, proceed with caution.

Some of the content may be triggering for some; if you feel you may be triggered by detailed descriptions of abuse, please proceed with caution. Gather support around you and use the emergency hotlines if you need to.

Ten Commandments for Stress Reduction

Author: Unknown

1. Thou shalt not be perfect, or even try to be.

2. Thou shalt not try to be all things to all people.

3. Thou shalt sometimes leave things undone.

4. Thou shalt not spread thyself too thin.

5. Thou shalt learn to say “no.”

6. Thou shalt schedule time for thyself and for thy support network.

7. Thou shalt switch thyself off, and do nothing regularly.

8. Thou shalt not even feel guilty for doing nothing, or saying no.

9. Thou shalt be boring, untidy, inelegant, and unattractive at times.

10. Especially, thou shalt not be thine own worst enemy, but rather, be thine own best friend.
